GigHz CasePrep — Procedure Setup Card Builder

Every attending's preferences live in one tech's head. The traveler starts Monday.

A browser tool for building, saving and printing structured procedure setup cards and room layouts, with everything stored on the device.

    What it does

Staff build, save and print structured prep cards for any procedure — open and standby supply lists, contrast preferences, positioning, physician-specific notes, free-text case notes — alongside a drag-and-drop room layout with a live 3D view.

    The problem it solves

Procedural suites run on tribal knowledge. An experienced scrub tech knows each attending's catheter and C-arm preferences. A new tech or a traveler does not, and that knowledge lives on laminated sheets, on sticky notes, or nowhere at all.

    What is in it

    • 337 procedures across 10 specialty tracks: IR, vascular surgery, general surgery, urology, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, cardiology, endoscopy and neurosurgery.
    • A room layout builder with 24 draggable elements — ceiling and portable C-arms, CT scanner, ultrasound, surgical lights, anesthesia machine, bovie, scope towers, OR microscope, lead shields, back tables, mayo stands, and personnel positions for circulator, scrub tech, surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurse and observer.
    • Smart layout defaults by case type: angio suite for IR and vascular, CT suite for image-guided biopsy and ablation, standard OR for surgical cases.
    • A live 3D room view with rotate, reposition and label, toggleable against the 2D plan.
    • Per-procedure bleeding-risk tags — low, moderate, high — as an internal planning heuristic.
    • One-tap PDF export producing a printable card with the full setup plus the room layout, saved per procedure and per provider.
    • Multi-provider support with admin and read-only modes, and profile switching that never overwrites another provider's preferences.

    Technical and privacy

Fully client-side: a single HTML file, all data in localStorage, no external API calls, JSON export and import for backup and device transfer, PWA-ready for offline use after first load.

No data is transmitted to any server. Do not enter patient identifiers — the tool does not need them and is not built to hold them.

For educational reference only. Clinical decisions require the physician's judgment of the individual patient. This tool supports that judgment; it does not replace it.
